Description

The NEWFS-owned Hobbs Fern Sanctuary in New Hampshire, offers an unusually rich environment and biodiversity of ferns and horsetails. There is a Dryopteris swamp with a dozen Wood Fern species and hybrids, and a limey talus slope covered with Maidenhair, Bulblet, and Silvery Glade Ferns that is home to several rare species. We will see more than three dozen pteridophyte taxa.

Limestone is uncommon in northern New England, so this will probably not look like what you have at home.
